Our Fees

We receive instructions from numerous sources including solicitors, and persons with legal authority to deal with a matter. We offer 2 fee structures:-

Fixed fee

If we are instructed on a private fee paying basis, we will charge a fixed fee agreed in advance.

Our minimum fee for private work is £500, which may vary depending on the complexity of the matter, and if there is an international element to the transaction. We guarantee that we will never ask you to pay more than the agreed fee.

Contingency Fee basis

We work on matters where there is no one to formally appoint us to trace beneficiaries, or where funds are not available to pay our fee. In these situations we work on a contingency basis where we receive a percentage of the beneficiaries entitlement.

Effectively, this is on a “no win no fee basis”.

We do not charge a fee for any work we carry out, but will usually take a commission of whatever amount we successfully recover on your behalf.

If we do not recover anything, you will not pay us anything guaranteed. Normally we charge a commission rate of 25%, but this can vary depending on the merits and complexity of the matter. Please refer to the commission agreement we send you to check what you will be paying.

  • My brother had gone missing in Spain in 1995, and the family had no contact with him, ever since. Stiebel Lethbridge & Co assisted us in tracing his assets, and having him presumed dead under the Presumption of Death Act 2013. His assets were then successfully recovered in full, which we would not have received if they had not got involved
  • The firm approached me about an interest in a pension I did not know I had. I had been estranged from my wife for 20 years, and learnt that she had since died. I was her spouse for the purposes of her NHS pension, and they assisted me to claim it. I received a lump sum payment and a pension for life.
  • I was approached by Stiebel Lethbridge & Co. It turned out that my late husband had not claimed his military pension from his time of serving in Northern Ireland in the 1980's. It could not have come at a better time as my husband's anniversary of his death was fast approaching, and the money came in handy.

If we contact you it will be to bring a positive impact to your life. Find out more about who we are and how we can re-acquaint you with assets to which you may be entitled.
